Other than being completely thankful I am not Conservative, there are many, many things I am thankful for. However, and unfortunately, I rarely acknowledge these things. I would like to dedicate this posting to some of the many things I am thankful for today...
- I am thankful for our Heavenly Father, Who continues to bless us and our country everyday!
- I am thankful to have been born in the United States- the home of the free, the home of the brave!
- I am thankful to have been able to bring into this world two of the most heavenly blessings one could ever ask for.
- I am thankful and blessed that my children are free of sickness and/or disability.
- I am thankful for my insanely amazing family and friends- as well as all their support they give me.
- I am thankful for all my freedoms!
- I am thankful for the opportunity to be anything I want to be-nothing will hold me back!
- I am thankful for our President!
- I am thankful for all those who have served, still serve and will serve for our country!
- I am thankful for my opinion- my thoughts- my freedom of speech!
Not everyone of course has been as blessed as you and I. As you read this on your fancy computer, using your high speed internet- consider all of those who are going without. There are children, women and men all over the world and in our country who are without food, shelter and clothing. There are many whom are disabled and/or sick. There are others who while you and I sit and enjoy our big Thanksgiving turkeys with our families, will be fighting for our lives, our country and our freedom. My heart aches for them.
I encourage you this holiday season to be thankful for all you have been blessed with. I encourage you to not disregard the gentleman freezing his tail off outside of the stores, ringing his bell, working for nothing- just there to raise money for those that are in need- I encourage you to take a moment of your time and donate. I encourage you to donate a few dollars this holiday season and buy a few toys for the children who are not so fortunate. I encourage you to become an active in helping, supporting and praying for those not as blessed. If we all just take a small step towards loving others, opening our hearts, donating and volunteering - we will make this world a better place. We will save lives, we will make a difference and we will bring joy and love into the hearts without.
May you all have the most wonderful Thanksgiving!
